~The 87th Weekly Freak Magazine
~
(October 2007 – January 2008)

As this warm indian summer simmeringly hinting fall comes winsomely on strong, out launches the Weekly Freak #87 our 20th Annifreakinversary Harvest Fall Edition. You can find it at music venues, coffeeshops, record stores, retailers, restaurants, cafes, headshops, galleries, glass shops & other freak friendly locales everywhere as the latest full moon has now come & gone. As ZZ Top would say: We’re nationwide. Or GD deadheads: We are everywhere.
The artist friendly cover art of Freak #87 [see attachment] features the local talent of our own in-mansion freakerhouse Jesse Brödd.
The 87th Freak also features the Freak's exclusive conversation with our friend & lead guitarist Bobby Weir of today’s most beloved American bands of our time: The Grateful Dead & Ratdog.
Freak 87's much beloved Freak of the Week for this celebratory edition is Freak’s friend & World Boogie purveyor slash guitarslinger Luther Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars.
Also in this issue are our Freaker's Choice [our growing choice for live music futures & our recommended pre-freaks worthy shows]. Our Pre-Freaks 87 always give an extra deserved charged plug to the horizons of future live music freaking. Plus our always informative Festival Freakiness 2OO7/2OO8 highlighting our highly dream & wish list worthy fave festival fun for our fall, winter seasons & beyond.
Speaking & freaking of freakiness & scenetrotting, 87 also features our little thank-you shoutout for the hysterically good hard touring sensory sensations Widespread Panic in Memphis by freakwent jetsetting Jetro.
Another feature here is our listen worthy CD review of "Coming Down" by Anders Osborne in "Magical Music". Soul survival is love. We also have a highly recommended special historical feature “For 20 Years” done by our in-mansion own golfing professional trumpet player Zack Lozier.
The truth feels good.
Plus we spotlight with funky honour & scene love, the friendly eclectic Caspar Inn on Northern Cali’s Mendocino coast. A true live music stronghold of goodness in Freak Friendly Venue 87. Once there, ask for our friend Jai (pronounced Jay). Karma dreams positivity.
And also deserving props go out to the new The Grateful Dead Channel on Sirius Radio [channel 32]. That’s satellite radio for you non-geeks. Tune yourself into Freak Friendly Radio 87.
No simple highway...
In addition to our quintessentially rambling roving freaking adventures in music from Minny to whereever told as told by Timmy the Freak's "The Freak Has Been Scene" 87 documenting the very best of musical scenery.
You'll find here within the FHBS 87 more of our freakwently featured worthy ultra scenescaping inner content including:

Our multi community based exploratory music scene magazine is quietly growing & expanding in new ways & directions while reaching new heights. You will see many more improvements & upgrades coming in the future as we grow.

Since 1987 we have been continuously inspired to share our interests within music & other cultural phenomena. We loosely define ourselves as a positive music scene magazine. One of our missions is to bring the musicians & their fans closer together improving along the way within the vibe & with the backdrop of the music. Sometimes this means intermingling in many different music scenes & localities. Join us for the journeys.
Thanks for your kind readership & ongoing support.

Enjoy.
